2005 Pride Parade

My pal Erin had a table to hawk her custom t-shirt goodness at the Pride Day parade this year, and I dropped by to see her carnival barker routine. Partly, I also wanted to see lots and lots of scantily clad ladies. But mostly it was about Erin.
I'm shallow, sure, but at least I use my shallowness to support my friends. So it's all good.

Above: People line the rooftops to get a better look at the parade. Below: I wasn't kidding about the rooftops.

Above: I spotted scores of these Trojan temporary tattoos. Strangely, almost every single one was applied on the upper back near the person's right shoulder. Is the right shoulder the new black? Below: The street was so crowded all I could see of the parade while I walked by was the occasional sign and anything on a stick.

Above: Almost as popular as the rooftop dangle is the shoulder balance. Below: I finally make it to Erin's booth. That's Erin sitting on the right, and her sister Kerry with the sombrero.

Above: The view from inside the booth. I helped man the shop for a short time, which was much fun. Sales even picked up a bit while I was there, and I choose to believe it was because of my Very Sexy Self. Go me! Below: Jeff and his cuz dropped by the booth so I nabbed a photo op.

Above: There's always a political aspect to the Pride event, and understandably so. I'm proud that Toronto plays host to this parade every year. I think it speaks well of us. Plus, it's really fun.
